Camp Rehoboth Seasonal Maintenance Worker (Camp Rehoboth / Gull Lake)

Term: Full Time

Main Purpose

The Camp Maintenance Worker is responsible for supporting the upkeep, repair, and improvement of all camp facilities, ensuring that the environment is safe, clean, functional, and welcoming for campers, staff, and guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily maintenance, landscaping, and janitorial tasks across all buildings, pathways, and grounds to maintain a clean, attractive, and hazard-free environment.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of minor construction projects, including repairs, renovations, and installations of camp infrastructure and amenities.
  • Participate in seasonal setup and takedown tasks, including preparing cabins, equipment, and grounds for camp opening and closing.
  • Perform daily and monthly inspections of the property to identify and address maintenance needs proactively.
  • Operate and maintain landscaping and maintenance equipment, including mowers, trimmers, power tools, and utility vehicles.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance work, equipment use, repairs, and safety inspections.
  • Ensure all tools, machinery, and vehicles are cleaned, stored, and maintained according to Rehoboth safety standards and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Manage waste disposal and recycling systems within the camp.
  • Support emergency procedures and respond to urgent repairs.
  • Provide occasional logistical and physical support for events, including setting up tents, chairs, and signage.
  • Collaborate with the Camp Coordinator to improve facility design and operational efficiency.
  • Perform daily cleaning of all camp buildings, including cabins, bathrooms, Dining hall, tuck shed, game shed, and chapel.
  • Collect, sort, and dispose of garbage and recycling bins across the camp and transport waste to designated areas.
  • Conduct pre- and post-event deep cleaning of facilities for group rentals and camp programs.
  • Uphold and promote the values, mission, and policies of Camp Rehoboth in all aspects of the role.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in High School OR High School Diploma, and currently enrolled in a college/University program with the intention to return to studies in the fall
  • Rehoboth Christian Ministries trainings

Skills & Experience:

  • Emergency First Aid and CPR
  • Valid Class 5 license
  • Previous experience in landscaping, construction, maintenance or facility operations
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and outdoor maintenance equipment
  • Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, carpentry or mechanical systems
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
